Afsana Kemraj

Before joining Kura, Afsana had been an Administrator in the Advertising and Marketing industry since 2012, accumulating seven years of experience at one company. During her tenure, she gained valuable insights into various departments and processes.

Afsana was inspired to pursue a career in HR by her father, who she deeply admired for his ability to balance work and family life. His dedication to hard work, determination, and empathy left a lasting impression on her. Despite his passing a few years ago, his values continue to guide her professional journey in HR, where she aims to embody his caring and compassionate approach to helping others succeed.

When Afsana transitioned to Kura, moving from the corporate Marketing and Advertising industry to the BPO sector marked a significant shift in her career. Her initial experiences at Kura were shaped by the warm reception from her teammates, the office environment, and the company culture, which emphasised camaraderie.

Afsana’s role has evolved significantly, with ample opportunities for growth and advancement within the company. “My managers have consistently supported me, providing guidance and investing in my professional development through training and implementing a career progression framework.”

Afsana joined Kura as a Data Capturer in March 2021. Within three months, she moved to a new role as Business Administrator. In March 2023, she was promoted to HR Generalist. These advancements exemplify Kura’s commitment to developing its employees and nurturing their careers.

One of her significant contributions at Kura has been overseeing the annual Momentum Wellness Day event, which provides all employees with free health checks, including blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose, and BMI measurements conducted by on-site nurses. This initiative underscores our commitment to employee health and well-being, crucial for sustaining engagement, motivation, and innovation within our workforce.

I am particularly proud to have received the Kudos Recognition Award for Learning Value during Kura’s Business Briefing in August 2023. This accolade acknowledges my dedication to continuous improvement and development within the company and reflects my passion for contributing positively to our workplace culture and success.

Afsana’s career goal within Kura is to complete my human resources management and practices studies. I aim to gain diverse experience in HR-related roles to build the skills needed for a future as an HR Business Partner at Kura.
