Durban Music School
Kura is excited to announce our partnership with the Durban Music School in South Africa, an institution dedicated to offering free accredited music education to 600 young people annually. Through this partnership, we’re sponsoring students, providing them with the opportunity to explore their musical talents and potentially pursue careers in the music industry.
Durban Music School is known for its commitment to providing quality music education regardless of economic situation and aim to break down financial barriers. By sponsoring these students, we’re directly contributing to the school’s mission of empowering aspiring musicians and enriching South Africa’s community and cultural landscape. Client Partnership Director, Janine Hunt and Kura South Africa Managing Director, Kenny Rodgers formalised the partnerships in February. Janine comments:
“At Kura, we’re privileged to partner with Durban Music School, working hand in hand to drive real change in our communities. Through this partnership, we’re not just talking the talk but walking the walk. By prioritising education, we’re laying the groundwork for stronger, more resilient neighbourhoods where every child has the chance to succeed.”
Our sponsorship enables these students to access high-quality music education, which can be a significant step towards achieving their career goals in the music industry. We believe in the power of education to transform lives, and this partnership exemplifies our commitment to supporting talent and encouraging opportunities beyond the traditional classroom setting.
Through our collaboration with the Durban Music School, we’re not only investing in individual talents but also contributing to the broader cultural vibrancy of South Africa’s community. We’re proud to play a part in nurturing the next generation of musicians and helping them realise their potential.
